I am a postdoctoral researcher working on high energy theoretical physics.

I did my undergraduate study in Nanjing University. In 2011 I moved to Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and the University of Waterloo, where I first did a one-year master in the Perimeter Scholars International program and then continued to PhD under the supervision of Dr. Freddy Cachazo. In 2015 I moved to Princeton and started working in the School of Natural Sciences, Institute for Advanced Study.

My name in Chinese is 袁野 (Yuán Yĕ). "Ellis" is an informal name that I use in publications (originally for the purpose of a unique identification on arXiv/INSPIRE). I grew up in a nice 'little' city called Tàicāng (太仓), which locates right beside Shànghăi. I also had the pleasure of spending the very first 4.5 years of my life in one of the old capitals of China, Luòyáng (洛阳).
