Globus

Globus is a research data management service that provides an infrastructure for transferring and sharing data sets. IAS currently supports Globus data transfers to and from data directories.

Who can use the Globus service and how?
Currently active users with a data directory have access through their IAS credentials. Primary access to the Globus data transfer server is through the web interface at Globus.org.

When should you use Globus for Data Transfer?
Globus can be used to transfer any quantity of data but can be especially handy when dealing with large data sets or when the reliability of the connection is an issue. A how to for transfering files can be found here.
